THIRD TIME LUCKY

Gledwood has kindly nominated this blog for another Thinking Blogger Award..that makes 3 here now so I'm really chuffed........thanks Gleds.

I'm having problems staying on line for too long so this and the tag on my Bee's Eye View blog will have to be my last tag/memes for a while. I'm having to limit my pc time to half hour stints or my PC switches itself off which is making it hard for me to visit you all AND write my posts as well.

Now I have to do some presenting.....hopefully I'll be able to get round to all your comment boxes and let you know you've been nominated before I'm offline again!!!!! I hope the following will accept the award and pass it on to 5 more blogs.

CALAMITY JANE

WOW! I've never had a thinking award before. Although I do do alot of thinking. And pondering. Bears do good pondering. WOW. Thanks, Ruth!

Very well deserved Ruth!!!

Thanks Ruth. It's an honour that you thought of me, although I must admit, compared to some of the real meaty blogs out there dealing with famine and conservation and politics, I feel like mine seems a bit too parochial to qualify! So I will accept it in spirit (thanks:)) but might not put the logo on my blog, it is too hard to agonise over 5 to pass it on to!

suzi-k; I agree there are many wonderful blogs dealing with the "meaty" issues of this world....this however doesn't lessen the importance of "every day real people" blogs and the impact they can have on us. Even if it just a case of opening our eyes to the way of life of the rest of the world...so please don't feel your blog would not qualify...it DOES!. I do understand what you mean about choosing who to pass them on to though and am happy that you've accepted the award in spirit.

Thanks Ruth! You're too kind, or deluded, or something. I guess paying that ghost writer finally paid off for me huh?

I'll be back over after work to pick up me gong. Tara!

Is anyone else having trouble getting to B T Bear's site. I keep getting a message from Internet Explorer saying the operation is aborted. it's just with that site, everyone else is OK.

Calamity Jane said...

It's OK now - I got to it via Mr Bear's profile instead. How odd ... th eaccess I mean not the site :-)

Yo! Now that is rich. My 1st comment since 1993 and it all vanishes.
I'd just written that I was trying to give up thinking and that thinking was trying to give up on me, & hey presto, gone!
I'll just say (editing out the report on Ana's laptop that is acting like it is a present from Al Queda)that I replied to most of your welcome comments on the web album, go see. Apologies for no mail replies - 4 jobs meeting deadlines between tomorrow & Monday, including the law. Oh, I'll just add to you & all readers that Google is rapidly becoming the biggest threat to the universe & sanity. Handle it with care, don't trust it and for just one example, think about how wonderful Blo0gger is (I think NOT), how easy it is to interface with them when there's a problem, which there always is. Hand out the pigeons, Ruth. More reliable!

The only problem with pigeons is they are inclined to sh*t on you from a great height!

Ruth, think about it: Pigeon-poop versus the combined capacity of Google & Microsoft. The former might cost you just a visit to the hairdresser (yeah I know, they carry harmful toxins, but we can wash our hands).
The latter are a much more potent double-edged kind of neutron bomb. There's a lot better - and free - out there than MS or G. I wish I could risk it with Big Pigeon, rather than Mega-Big Brother.

Good point Sx. Thinking about it I'd rather be in Estrela Gardens dodging pigeons than at the mercy of MS & G

Wow! Thanks, Ruth! That two week trip, plus work and etc. I think I'm about 2 months more behind than usual. Not sure I'm getting in much blog thinking, just quick posts & visits. I appreciate your visits and comments. Some times you visit in your morning before I leave the computer in my evening. Sort of like being in the same place even all those miles away. Any special requests you want to see posted from western Washington?
Thanks again! Paula

Paula; I must remember to wish you "Good night" when I do my really early morning rounds :-)
Such a nice thought, "miles apart yet together in Blogworld"

Ruth, well done. Hope you are doing well! Well deserved thinking award. One of the reasons I love your blog so much is because you post about real things. I am trying to do that too now. Love ya!

Ruth, I'm sorry about your computer problems...it can be so exasperating...I'm afraid 'Dr. Bowen, computer whiz' might not make it to England. However, we'll be seeing him next week in Indiana and I'll pass on the question...smile....

Thank you for visiting me. I treasure each visit and comment....Happy weekend...Betty

Calamity Jane,
I was having trouble with my site last week! For some reason it stopped happening when I removed the Technorati button. Weird, huh?
